Basketball Ministry Information Sheet
January 16–April 14, 2010
League fees: $50
Games are on Saturdays between 1:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. at Harvest Christian Fellowship.
Who can play?
The league is open to men over the age of 16. Players who are 16–17 will be evaluated on a case by case basis. They must have a Guardian Sponsor who is also participating in the ministry. The Guardian must attend the game for the minor to play.
Harvest Christian Fellowship must be your home church to play in this Ministry.
Bible Study Information:
A Bible study will be provided by the ministry each week. These are mandatory for ministry participation. The study is designed to help in your growth and your Christian walk. Completion of the study is vital to group participation. The studies will be reviewed in group time prior to each game.
Team Information:
Players can place themselves into the draft pool and will be assigned to a team based on team and ministry needs (returning or new players).
Players may assemble a new team with a maximum of four players. The balance of the team will be filled from the draft. New teams are added based on available space.
Players may request to play with other players. A player placement committee will review the request, but players are placed based on needs of the ministry.
All players that are placed on a waiting list due to availability or signing up after the cut-off date will be placed on teams based on the guidelines in the Sports Ministry Player Placement.
The directors of the ministry will select team leaders. Any individual wishing to be a team leader must complete growth classes at Harvest to be considered. Leaders are selected based on ministry needs and availability.
